Dunn Continues Breakout Super DIRT Week With Triumph In Saturday's Safety-Kleen Shootout II

SYRACUSE, NY - Oct. 9, 2011 – By Kevin Kovac/DIRTcar Racing P.R. - Billy Dunn of Watertown, N.Y., continued his breakout Super DIRT Week on Saturday afternoon, romping to victory in the 20-lap Safety-Kleen Shootout II at the New York State Fairgrounds.

Dunn, 27, earned $2,500 for triumphing in the special event, which featured a 10-car field comprised of DIRTcar Modified champions and selected wildcard entries. The checkered flag came after he put his Bicknell car on the outside pole for Sunday's SEF 200 Presented by Ferris and Snapper during time trials on Thursday and won a 20-lap heat race under the lights on Friday.

As he led all 25 laps in the STP Shootout at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in Elbridge, N.Y. to claim his 8th victory on the season. Since the Outlaws left Deer Creek Speedway on Saturday, September 17, Meyers and his Elite Racing team haven’t finished lower than 3rd.

Canadian Joey Ladouceur Eyes Victory In BACC-OFF Pro Stock Championship After Grabbing Pole Position In Time Trials

SYRACUSE, NY - Oct. 8, 2011 – By Kevin Kovac/DIRTcar Racing P.R. – Joey Ladouceur of Alexandria, Ont., secured the pole position starting spot for the BACC-OFF Pro Stock Championship by registering the fastest lap around the one-mile New York State Fairgrounds oval during Saturday afternoon's time trials.

The 35-year-old driver negotiated the 'Moody Mile' in 38.604 seconds (93.255 mph) to pocket the $500 Terrell's Potato Chips Pole Award. It marked the third time that Ladouceur has set fast time for the 25-mile BACC-OFF Pro Stock Championship, which is scheduled to take the green flag on Sunday at 12 noon.
