Canadian Joey Ladouceur Eyes Victory In BACC-OFF Pro Stock Championship After Grabbing Pole Position In Time Trials


SYRACUSE, NY - Oct. 8, 2011 – By Kevin Kovac/DIRTcar Racing P.R. – Joey Ladouceur of Alexandria, Ont., secured the pole position starting spot for the BACC-OFF Pro Stock Championship by registering the fastest lap around the one-mile New York State Fairgrounds oval during Saturday afternoon's time trials.

The 35-year-old driver negotiated the 'Moody Mile' in 38.604 seconds (93.255 mph) to pocket the $500 Terrell's Potato Chips Pole Award. It marked the third time that Ladouceur has set fast time for the 25-mile BACC-OFF Pro Stock Championship, which is scheduled to take the green flag on Sunday at 12 noon.

The three Big-Block events closed out a historic racing card at the Syracuse Mile, which for the first time in the history of Super DIRT Week played host to an evening heat-race program. Three portable Musco light towers were positioned in the infield of the massive oval to illuminate the speedway at a level never before seen by fans and competitors.

Fine Field Of 64 DIRTcar Sportsman Sign In For Action On  ‘Moody Mile’

 

SYRACUSE, NY - Oct. 7, 2011 – By Jamie Weaknecht/DIRTcar Racing P.R. - Neil Williams has proven he can go fast in a DIRTcar Sportsman at the New York State Fairgrounds. Now he wants to show everyone he can last as well.

 

The 21-year-old driver from Pittsgrove, N.J., was quickest in DIRTcar Sportsman Championship 30 qualifying for the second consecutive year, besting a 64-car field in Friday afternoon’s time trials on the famed Syracuse Mile. He circled the historic track in 32.859 seconds (109.559 mph) – nearly a half-second faster than Cody McPherson of St. Catharines, Ont., who turned the second-fastest lap.
